Sorry, but I didn’t like them. Music came in low and I couldn’t tell if both speakers were working. I don’t need my music super loud when I’m working out, but I shouldn’t be able to hear other people talking at max volume

Not for fitness related activities. Ear pieces are bulky and heavy. Cutout when I would turn my head. Sound is good when your not having to constantly make sure they are not gonna fall out.

The Best headphones I have ever came across, worth every penny., October 25, 2014
    By

These are hands down the best headphones I have ever had. As I’m writing this review I’m using them listening to Portico Quartet and the sound that comes from these bad boys it’s outstanding!

The Bluetooth connection and pairing to any device works really smooth, without any problems.

Changed song, now it’s Deftones… In the sound quality department I have to say that the mids and highs sound very crisp and high quality, also the bass levels sound really deep and clear, they add a big punch to the songs (also, this is much better appreciated if you are listening to lossless FLAC files over crappy 128kbps MP3). Also, you can crank up the volume having a very loud sound which can be hurtful for your ears, so beware of that, anyway you don’t need to get them too loud, as the volume in the middle level gets pretty comfortable. Also, the noise cancelling really cancels the outside noise, this adds a better appreciation of the sound quality these bad boys provide.

On the design department I have to say they have a very great design, the best I have come across! I love the combination of colors on the white version (the one I own). The memory ear pads and the top head pad are really comfortable, also the star on both pads add a nice stylish touch.

Talking about the battery life it’s outstanding really busting up to 20hrs as Astro advertised. I have just used them for one week (pretty much on a heavy use) and I have just charged them twice. One flaw I have to say is that you only have a battery life indicator when using them on any iOs 7 or iOs 8 device (not on android or previous versions of iOs). Anyways, when you are running low on battery the headphone gives a little heads up by providing a beep sound and flashing a red light on the LED indicator warning you to charge it soon. Eventhough it can give like a couple of hours to still listen your music before charging them.

They come with a very durable (yet big sized) carrying case which protects them very well. Also a mini USB cable is included for charging them. Astro doesn’t provide a charger but you can charge it with any cellphone or kindle charger without any hassle (Astro confirmed this to me).

The main use I give to these headphones is to listen to music, I have used them also to play mobile games and they sound superb, without any lag between game cutscenes and actual gameplay.

I haven’t tested pretty much the mic, sometimes is heard pretty clear and some other times is heard at a very low volume, I’ll still be testing them. Anyways, I didn’t buy these headphones to talk through them.

Overall I’m very pleased with these headphones, eventhough they are pricey ($229) when you use them for the first time you know they are worth 100% their price and your hard earned money. And also, the most important thing… they are Bluetooth. Once you use a high-quality bluetooth device like this one, you never want to go back to wired mode!

    100% recommended!

These actually look pretty good and fit really well.

    Pros:
    Sound is clean and powerful.
Fit is tight enough to walk (or slow jog) in if you wanted to but not too tight.
The ear pads are comfortable enough that you don’t really notice them.
Microphone works well with Iphone 6. And Nexus 7. Others I have talked to said I sounded clear.
After initial Bluetooth setup/connection they sync up pretty quick.
Look is “modern”. Initially I wasn’t that fond of the look but they look better in person than in pictures.

    Cons:
Bass it a bit light but not real noticeable.
They are a bit loud. If turned up high the sound reverberates around you.
Lights blink on the side and can be annoyingly bright if it’s dark.

Cool looking, versatile., December 5, 2014

Audio equipment, especially higher-end, sounds better after a break-in period. Rule of thumb is 100 hours. Some folks simply plug in the component and leave it running so their initial listening impression comes after a fair burn-in. That’s what I did with this headset, and frankly I am impressed. Wireless will never be quite the same as wired as the bandwidth does not provide for transmission of all information. So for anyone wanting freedom from wires – and I do as I like to listen while completing chores – it makes sense to buy a good wireless headset.

I have been using a recommended component, the corded Audio Technica ATH-M50 headphones and no, these do not do as well. But still, the sound is quite amazing for cordless transmission. I found the noise cancelling to be effective for all reasonable purposes. Frankly, I do not want to block out sounds that I need to know about but like that these cancel vehicle noises from outside and the whirring of fridge, furnace and fan. I have found the length of time I can use these on one charge to be excellent. I am impressed with their versatility – that I could use these with Skype or cellphone if I wished. I am not a gamer (please save me from that addiction!) so cannot comment on that use, but I am an omnivorous musician and am delighted to finally have freedom from tangled cord to listen to classical, folk, jazz, rock and on and on. In my opinion these are cool-looking and well designed to fold for storage, case provided.

I have a small adult head and am still hoping that the pressure against my ears will lessen after, again, a “use” break-in period. But currently I am unable to wear these for longer than about 40 minutes before my ears hurt. There are electronic beeps that signal status that are so loud that I fear they will cause hearing damage. This headset is relatively expensive, hard to calculate relative value. But for the price, it ought to come with all the needed charging devices, which it does not.

Initially I had to fuss a lot to get the Bluetooth signal to pair. I don’t know why that was but they are now functioning properly.
