Call Of Duty: Black Ops Backwards Compatibility is live Now

You can now play Xbox 360 game Black Ops on your Xbox One, not only that but you can buy it for cheap if you don’t already own it.

Microsoft has been hinting at it for over six months now, but the first Call Of Duty: Black Ops has now been added to the list of Xbox 360 games that will run on the Xbox One.  As ever, all you need to do is insert the original disc to get it to work. But if you can’t find that, or never owned it, Xbox Live Gold members can currently download it for just £11.24.  Or you can get it bundled free with a copy of last year’s Black Ops III for £23.99 (the Xbox 360 version that is, not the Xbox One version).

The first Black Ops was originally released in 2010 and continued the story first begun in Treyarch’s World At War game, but this time set during the 60s instead of the Second World War.  The full list of backwards compatible games can be found here, and as you can see Black Ops is the first Call Of Duty title.

It’s probably unlikely that any of the Modern Warfare titles will be added any time soon, as a remastered version of the first game is being included with this year’s Infinite Warfare and a trilogy compilation is being released for last gen consoles.
