When is Fortnite Mobile Coming Out on Android?

The mobile version of Fortnite was first launched just over a month ago and it saw a large number of fans sign up to try out the new portable version of the game.

It was a bold move launching a mobile version of its online game ‘Fortnite’ by Epic Games and it seems to have paid off with their popularity continuing to increase.

The Fortnite game is identical to other platforms and the developers even offer cross platform capabilities, so mobile players can play alongside their friends on PC and console. The bad news is that it is currently only playable on iOS devices, so when can we expect to see Fortnite become available for android users

When does Fortnite mobile come out on Android?

Currently mobile Fortnite will only be available to iOS11 users, meaning that it doesn’t yet support Android devices.  If you do have an Android phone you can still sign-up for the mobile version but you may have a bit of a wait before you can play it.

The Fortnite team has suggested that we could be waiting at least a couple of months until the game is available on all phones. On the Epic Games website it says ‘We expect to rollout Android in the next few months.’ ‘If you are on an Android device, please sign up…We’ll notify you when your Android device is supported.’

How to get Fortnite mobile on iOS

Fortnite is now available to play for anyone who has a compatible iOS device. To play the mobile version of the game you will first need to register an account by heading to the Fortnite website. You can then download the Fortnite app from the app store, then log in and start playing.

Currently, Fortnite mobile will work with iPhone SE, 6S, 7, 8, X; iPad Mini 4, Air 2, 2017, Pro.
