GameCentral talks to the producer of the new XCOM sequel and asks him why there’s no console version or gamepad support.
We love XCOM. We loved the original Amiga version, and its sequels, back in the ’90s and we loved the more recent reboot and its expansion. The fact that it’s a turn-based strategy game puts off most people the second they hear the phrase, but XCOM is as full of action, suspension, and excitement as any game we’ve played. It’s not at all slow-paced and you end up having more empathy for your characters than other games with hours worth of cut scenes.
